Campbell's dwarf hamsters are not recommend for children of the age of 13 or lower, because of dwarf hamsters being a little more hyper and more prone to bitting most people by Campbell's just to watch. They are very friendly though and the second most popular hamster you will find a pet stores. They come in many colours the most popular colour being grey with a white under belly and black line across back (Below). History
Campbell's were founded in China, Russia, and Mongolia. They were bred to create a smaller cuter more pocket size version of the Syrian hamster. Did that work? Yes. We know have Campbell's Russian dwarf hamster thanks to W.C. Campbell.

Diet
Almost every pet store sells hamster food. There are mainly two types of hamsters food, Seeds and pellets or All in one seed. I would recommend All in one seed because it has all the seeds in Seed and Pellets put in one, most hamsters will be picky and not eat every seed which is important for there diet but in all in one seed all the seeds are in one big nugget so they don't pick and choose what seeds they eat. Also you can feed your hamsters treats or some human foods such as un-salted crackers, vegetable's or fruits. NOTE: Never feed your hamster candy or chocolate!
